This page is for visiting students who will study on an undergraduate course at Christ's College, Cambridge in the 2025-26 academic year. Congratulations on your place.
Once you have your visiting student offer letter, you'll see that one of the first things you need to do is to upload various documents. Please use the Visiting Students post-offer upload tool (click here) to upload the documents you have been asked for in your formal letter. As well as documents mentioned in your offer letter, this form also asks you to upload any English language certificates that you have, as well as a passport-style photograph (see section on this below).
If you have also been asked to complete a visa questions form in your offer letter, please complete this here (July 2025 note - apologies for some repetition of questions - we have needed to move very quickly for those of you receiving a July 2025 visiting student offer and have not had time to tailor this to you. Thank you for your patience - completing this will help us to move things along for your visa as fast as possible).
Passport style photograph - requirements
If we have asked you to provide a passport-style photograph, these are the requirements:
The file provided must be:
> supplied in either PNG or JPG file format > no smaller than 640 x 480 pixels > no larger than 12,415,000 pixels in total (multiply width x height to calculate total pixels) > no larger than 10MB
The photo must be:
> in colour with a good colour balance and natural skin tones > clear and in focus > taken against a plain light-coloured background > unaltered by digital editing or the use of filters > an original photo – not a photo of another photo
In your photo you must:
> be facing forwards looking straight at the camera > have your eyes open and visible
Your photo must not:
> contain other objects or people > have 'red eye' effect > have hair in front of your eyes > have any head covering (unless for religious or medical reasons) > have anything covering your eyes > have any shadows on your face or behind you
Do not wear glasses in your photo unless you have to do so. If you must wear glasses, they cannot be sunglasses or tinted glasses, and you must make sure your eyes are not covered by the frames or any glare, reflection or shadow.
