This page is part of the Christ's current applicants information for students invited for interview. It contains practical information for students who will sit a remote College assessment. Details are being added to this page gradually.

Who will sit a College assessment?

These assessments will be sat by candidates in the subjects listed in the table below who are selected for interview.

Note that this page only covers things that are formally called 'college assessments'. You should check the subject information for your subject over the next few weeks for any pre-interview study or work on problems etc, that you may be asked to do immediately before interviews in your subject.

Where can I find details of the assessment?

The information available in advance can be found at

Most of practical detail will be sent to you by email once you have been selected for interview.

We have sent emails with further info to students in the following subjects
None so far

There is also information in the subject information, if you want to check this.

Arrangements for remote written assessments

Beehives in the Fellows' Garden
Beehives in the Fellows' Garden

You will see in the table above that your assessment has Arrangement A, B or C. Details of these arrangements (how to sit the assessment and submit your work afterwards) will be emailed to you if you are invited for interview.

Arrangement A people

Details of the arrangements will be sent by email, but in summary you will receive the assessment paper by logging onto a secure website at a specific time, and you will then need to upload your completed script by another specific time. You can complete the assessment at home or at school, depending on what works best for you.

Please ensure that you have the following three emails before your assessment:

  • an Admissions Assessment Information email (with attachments)
  • an email directly from Moodle with the link to the platform
  • an email directly from Moodle with your log-in details

Please check your spam/junk folders if you can't see one of the emails and email us if you don't have one of them once we have confirmed (here) that they have been sent.

Arrangement B people (online invigilation)

Details of the arrangement will be sent by email after you have been invited for interview, but in summary you will receive the assessment paper and be invigilated online whilst you work on it. At the end, you will need to email your work to the invigilator.

Arrangement C people (scheduled like, or as part of, an online interview)

Details of the arrangement will be available after you have been invited for interview, but in summary your assessment will be scheduled in the interview period - you'll have an individual online appointment (4-year Classics candidates) or the assessment will be part of one of your online interviews (3-year Classics candidates).
