"The use of email and website were really helpful in keeping me on track with my application."

The process will be easier if you read our info.
The Christ's Admissions team will communicate with you in two main ways:
- via the Current Applicants Section (available from the end of 20 Sept), which sets out the "Stages" and what you need to do in each (if you're reading this you'll know what's going on).
- via an email at the beginning of each stage (in the first few days).
We may also email you at other times with info or queries relating to your application.
It's worth taking a moment to think about receiving email - it may sound obvious but please do this. You need to receive and read our messages! We'll email you from admissions@christs.cam.ac.uk.
Here are our top tips:
This is the biggest mistake people make - if you submit your UCAS application and then don't read your email at the address that you gave on your UCAS application for a week, you may miss important emails and deadlines. We recommend that you check your email at least once a day.
If you make admissions@christs.cam.ac.uk one of your contacts or add it to your safe senders list, it is less likely that your email account will put our messages in your spam/junk folder.
Help for some of the more commonly used email clients can be found at the following links:
- Outlook (e.g How to add an address to safe senders list)
- Yahoo Mail (e.g. Add contacts in Yahoo Mail)
- Apple Mail (e.g. Add us as a VIP sender)
- Google Mail (e.g. how to add a contact; how to stop emails being sent to spam)
- iOS Devices
You may need to search for 'How to add to contacts' 'How to add to safe senders' 'How to add to white list' etc.
It's good practice to get into the habit of checking your junk and spam folders regularly, as well as your inbox. If you find anything from us in one or both of those folders, it's particularly important that you take the steps described above.
Often email accounts will not accept emails if there is no spare capacity, so check that you have space. You may need to tidy up your inbox.....
Look especially at the current points box and the relevant 'stage' information to ensure that you are up-to-date with approaching deadlines and emails that have been sent.
You don't have to wait for our email reminders - you can see in the current applicants section what happens when, and if you want to get ahead and get things done, please do! The only thing we ask is that you submit your UCAS application first so that we can add documents you upload to your application.
You may want to re-read emails at different stages. If you put your Christ's emails in a folder after you have read them, you will be able to find them and refer back to them if needed.
This is so important - please do not rely on a parent or an agency to pass on details. You need to receive the information yourself and without delay (some of our emails may be time-sensitive and you may be at a disadvantage if you do not receive our messages directly).
It's best to not change your email address during the application process - this causes work and potential for mistakes at our end.
If you absolutely have to change your email address, PLEASE ensure that you
- Update it in your UCAS Hub.
- Email Christ's Admissions with the change.
- Our address is admissions@christs.cam.ac.uk and don't forget to start with the details we need at the beginning of each email.
Thank you for reading!
