Congratulations to cricketer James Vitali (Christ's PhD student in Politics & International Studies) who has again proved a match-winner against Oxford.
In this year's 4-day Varsity Match at Fenner's (3-6 September) James took half of Oxford's wickets, finishing with match figures of 6 for 34 and 4 for 38.
In the game, postponed from June, Cambridge outplayed Oxford in every department and won a thumping victory by 249 runs (Cambridge 307 and 257; Oxford 129 and 186).
James played a big part in last year's 20-over (T20) Varsity match (17 May 2019), when he also turned in Cambridge's best bowling performance (3 for 17) and hit the winning run to bring the team victory on the very last ball.
