Honorary Fellow Professor Tony Hunter has been awarded the Tang Prize for Biopharmaceutical Science 2018 for the discovery of protein tyrosine phosphyrolation and tyrosine kinases as oncogenes, leading to successful targeted cancer therapies. Professor Hunter shares this award with Dr Brian Druker and Dr John Mendelsohn.
