Many congratulations to Dr Geoffrey Ingham whose garden has been awarded first place in the prestigious Daily Telegraph ‘Best British Garden’ competition.
The competition was judged by Adam Frost (garden designer with 7 gold medals at the Chelsea Flower Show; presenter on BBC TV’s Gardeners’ World) and Bunny Guinness (garden writer/designer; and BBC radio’s ‘Gardeners’ Question Time’). Bunny Guinness remarked that Dr Ingham's garden was "bold, balanced and charismatic".
The garden will feature in the Daily Telegraph on Saturday 25th August and a video for the website will be available shortly.
As part of the prize Dr Ingham has also received a year’s supply of Yorkshire Tea, most fitting as a Yorkshireman, and the garden, with Dr and Mrs Ingham, will feature in the forthcoming Yorkshire Tea advertisement.
