The College is delighted to announce that Marco Travaglio, currently pursuing a PhD in Toxicology, has been recognized by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Science and Human Rights Coalition for his entry in its annual Science and Human Rights Student Essay Competition. His winning essay, “Solving the standstill: Right to science as a vehicle to global migration policies” was selected by a panel of judges as the top essay in the graduate student category..

The AAAS is the world's largest multidisciplinary scientific society and a leading publisher of cutting-edge research through its Science family of journals. The content of Marco's essay has to do with how science can advance human rights concerns around migration.
