We are delighted to confirm that Chris Mason (m.1998) has been appointed the BBC's new political editor, he will take up his new post in May, following the local elections.
Chris has worked as a BBC journalist for many years and currently hosts Radio 4's Any Questions, which he will continue to do until the summer.
