Congratulations to all our students on their outstanding exam results in 2019 – Christ’s is top of the Tompkins Table again this year!  We are immensely proud of all our students, and very grateful for the support they receive from our Fellows and all the staff within College.  The proportion of first class final-year results was a magnificent 51% and the proportion of final-year students receiving a II.1 or higher this year was 94%.

Dr Robert Hunt, Senior Tutor said: “At Christ's we aim to be consistently in the top quarter of the table of Cambridge Colleges, so we are delighted by the pleasant news that we are again top-ranked in this year's table. Almost every subject across the arts, humanities, sciences and technology has done well at Christ's this year. But we are careful not to put too much emphasis on the table, because the differences between the various Colleges at the top are very small. And we certainly don't place undue pressure on our students to do well; they are all highly motivated already! We are not a particularly rich College, and we are socially diverse. We achieve our good results by attracting strong applicants from a wide range of backgrounds; by providing them with excellent teaching from carefully-selected supervisors; and by giving them strong pastoral support.”
