The 100th Anniversary of the Armistice

poppy

On the 100th Anniversary of the Armistice we think back to those members of College who fell in the Great War, and subsequent wars.

We will be holding a special Requiem Eucharist in Chapel at 10.55am this coming Sunday, to which all members of College, past and present, are welcome.

To mark the anniversary of the start of the Great War, the Library held an exhibition. The catalogue is available on the College's webpage: https://www.christs.cam.ac.uk/christs-war

The First World War had an impact upon the whole College: this sobering document, compiled by the Boat Club and the Development Office, shows the toll on just one area of College: https://alumni.christs.cam.ac.uk/file/WW1_records.pdf

The College has also collected memories from alumni who were students during the Second World War.
