If you study outside the UK and would like to apply to Christ's College, please first of all read should I apply and our international entrance requirements page. If you are then directed to the page for students whose countries are not listed, this page provides further support.
International A levels
A levels are normally two-year courses and you must take at least three A levels in appropriate subjects. If you are prepared for a very high workload, it is sometimes possible to do accelerated A level courses so that you cover the material and get the A level qualifications in just one year. Note, however that top grades are required for entry onto our courses so it will be important to ensure that you are well-prepared for the exams, even if you take them in a year.
Please read the detail of our entrance requirements for students taking A levels.

USA Qualifications (which must include five Advanced Placements)
Advanced Placements can be more flexible than some of the other options, and with suitable preparation, it is even possible to take the exams as an independent learner.
Please read the entry requirements information for students taking USA qualifications.
It is important to be aware that it is not possible to apply with SAT (or event SAT II Subject Tests) alone - if you apply with USA qualifications, you will need to take five Advanced Placement (AP) courses as well as performing highly on SAT (I) Reasoning Test or ACT. Strong performances in SAT Subject Tests will strengthen an application.
Information for students taking AP courses outside the USA is in the following links:
International Baccalaureate Diploma
To take the International Baccalaureate Diploma, you need to attend a school that offers the qualification for two years. It is not normally possible to take the IB Diploma as an independent learner, or to shorten the Diploma course.
Here at Christ's, our IB Diploma entry requirements are 42 points overall, with 7,7,6 in relevant Higher Level subjects, and when you are choosing subjects, note that Higher Level subjects will satisfy A Level subject requirements for Cambridge courses.
IB applicants starting the new IB Mathematics syllabus are expected to take IB Higher Level 'Analysis and Approaches' for any course where Mathematics is a requirement. If this option is not available at your school, please contact us.
