Computer Science
Don't be fooled! Old buildings in First Court but an excellent internet connection in the rooms!

For Computer Science, we emphasise that you need a very strong background in maths. Advanced Higher Mathematics is required but we also strongly encourage you to take a second Maths Advanced Higher subject if you can.

Since A level students are required to take both Mathematics and Further Maths when applying for Computer Science, we've naturally had a few questions about what the best subject combination would be for students in the Scottish system. We recommend that you take:

> Advanced Higher Mathematics (required for Computer Science)
> Advanced Higher Statistics
> Either Advanced Higher Computing or Advanced Higher Physics

We define the terms of our offers individually, but the minimum offer for this course is A1, A1, A2 in three relevant Advanced Highers.

All applicants for Computer Science must also take the Test of Mathematics for University Admission which requires registration by mid-September. You will be able to search for a test centre in Scotland.

Other events with Computer Science content include the University open day online or in person in July of S5, and look out for any Computer Science Masterclasses as well.
