Ho-On is interested in the future of aero-propulsion and developing technology for a more sustainable future. The industry is currently facing two key challenges, both of which can drastically reduce the CO2 emitted by future aircraft albeit through different routes: 1) increasing the bypass-ratio of jet engines and 2) the electrification of future propulsion systems. Ho-On’s main focus is on the first of these challenges, but he is also looking into the electrification of future propulsion systems during his Junior Research Fellowship.

Ho-On is based at the Whittle Laboratory, Department of Engineering.
