The annual Charles Blackham Memorial competition will be held this year on Saturday 26th January 2019, in the College Chapel, starting at 3:30pm.

The competition is held at the beginning of the Lent Term in memory of the late chair of the Music Society, Charles Blackham (m.2007) and the prize of £200 is generously donated by Mrs Sally Blackham, Charles’s mother.

The competition is now open to all instrumentalists and singers in College, of all standards, although previous competition winners will not be eligible to enter again.

Applicants will be asked to perform up to 15 minutes of music at the recital in the Chapel on 26th January, and the competition will be judge by a panel of three, the Director of Music, Professor David Rowland, a Senior Fellow, and the Chair of CCMS.
