Dr Coyne is currently a Principal Research Associate in the Yusuf Hamied Department of Chemistry. His research interests are in the use of chemical tools to probe biological functions. Primarily he looks at using fragment-based approaches to targeting enzymes in mycobacteria. He is also interested in the use of green solvents, such as water, and how they can accelerate organic reactions.
