Cambridge University Taekwondo (CUTKD) is based at the University Sports Centre in West Cambridge, where the club has pads and sparring equipment. Training sessions run on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and Sunday afternoons. Beginners are welcome, although the club also has support for more experienced students who want to compete seriously, and has information about seminars and competitions that students can join.

Ieva, a current Christ's student who is on the CUTKD committee, says:

"Our club motto is 'Meet Awesome People and Kick Them in the Face' - I think that describes it better than I could. The first session is also free so there's nothing to lose by trying it out. I looked it up after I got my offer, and found out more information at the Freshers Fair.

It's not really a team sport but we have a lot of socials especially around competitions. The club is really welcoming - it feels less like a formal sports club and more like a group of friends who also kick each other. It's also great for keeping fit and strong, and I think it's important to have a basic level of self-defence."
