Information for 13-14 August 2026.
This page will be updated as things progress.

On Thursday 13 August 2026 results are published in the UK for a number of qualifications including most A levels and STEP Mathematics. This page guides you through what will happen on Thursday, and we will also put any updates here for you later on Thursday and Friday, as things progress.

If your grades meet / exceed offer conditions

Congratulations! In the vast majority of cases, your place will be confirmed in your UCAS Account, which you should be able to access once UCAS opens on Thursday 13 August. UCAS starts updating at 8am UK time, though be aware that it may take a little time for you to access your account/update as the site will be busy. We will also email you as soon as we can manage it, starting from 9am on 13 August. This will take some time but we hope to be able to email you by the end of the day and will update you here if not.

For those starting in Oct 2026, once you can see that your place is confirmed with UCAS, we invite you to read the information at the following link:

Page for students with a newly confirmed place for October 2026 entry at Christ's. This link will not work until 13 August

NB. If you are a home fees student, please make sure that you note the information in the link about the Bridging Course, as we'll be contacting you next week to let you know if you are required to attend or not (this affects your arrival date, so those with home fee status are advised to hold off on planning for now).

For those starting in Oct 2027 and beyond, please see the page for deferred entry offer holders

If your grades do not meet offer requirements

This information is relevant if you have missed ANY PART of your offer conditions, even if you have met or exceeded some of the other conditions. Please read the full information here carefully.

Students who have narrowly missed grade requirements are considered (on the basis of your whole application) for any remaining places. We will email all students whose grades do not exactly meet offer requirements when possible. Some students will be contacted sooner than others but you should receive either a decision or an update email at some point on Thursday 13 August.

IMPORTANT - ACTION NEEDED: As UCAS only sends us overall grades for each subject, if you have missed ANY PART OF your grade requirements, please scan and send your complete results statement(s) as an email attachment to admissions@christs.cam.ac.uk. We'll need this for all subjects, so that we can see any breakdown and exactly how close to meeting your offer you were. Please remember to include your name, subject and UCAS Personal ID in your email. We hope to have all results statements by 12 noon at the very latest, and ideally before - please do not delay sending your statement/breakdown. We will acknowledge receipt.

When you receive a decision / update email from us, please ensure that you read the text of our email carefully and in full as there may be important information in it.

In some cases, you will find that your UCAS account will already have updated with a decision when UCAS opens (and you will also receive an email during Thursday morning). In other cases, a decision will not yet be available so UCAS will not have updated yet - it will update once a decision is available (and it may well update before we can email you).

We are aware that you may decide to have a remark / appeal. It's normally best to discuss with your school if you are thinking about getting a remark (noting that the deadline to meet your offer conditions is 31 August 2026 - see you offer letter). We will need to know your decision on remarks whether you decide to have one or not, so we ask you to complete this remark decision form (ideally also on Thursday morning), once you have made a decision. There is more information on the form itself.

Apart from scanning your results statement to admissions@christs.cam.ac.uk (do this first), completing the remark decision form, reading your emails and keeping an eye on this page, there is nothing you need to do. Please understand that we can not give decisions over the phone under any circumstances and we will not answer the phone whilst we are busy sending emails. It is best to wait to hear from us, difficult as we know this is. In most cases, you will have a decision by late on Friday (at the latest - note that we do mean late though, we will be working well into the evening on Friday).

If a teacher or UCAS referee wants to write to us, the address is admissions@christs.cam.ac.uk, though note that this is not required. Please do not re-send information that has already been sent to us - we already have it.

If you email us during this period, please ensure that you start your email with your name, subject, UCAS number and entry year as usual.

We know that this is a very difficult time for students who have not received grades that meet offer conditions, and we will do our very best to keep you updated here as far as this is possible. The box below is where we'll put any updates.

Current updates
We're expecting the majority of remaining decisions to be sent on Friday evening.

If you received results earlier in the year

Although 13 August isn't your results day, it is still relevant as shortly afterwards we can start preparing things for students due to start in October 2026.

Students who have met offer conditions at any point since offers were issued in January will receive an email from us on 13 August at the same time as students who have received results on 13 August.

Students whose grades do not meet offer requirements and have been asked to wait until this time for a decision should receive a decision by 23:59 on Friday 14 August at the latest. Once available (it could be any time between 8am on 13 August and 23:59 on 14 August), decisions will be in your UCAS profile and we will also send you an email. Tip: In most cases, Your UCAS account will update before we are able to email you.

If you are holding an unconditional offer

We've not forgotten you! If you have an unconditional offer and did not receive exam grades this year, then if your course starts in October 2026, you will receive the same information as other new students in due course. Although not specifically written for you, see the page for students with a newly confirmed place for October 2026 entry at Christ's (the link will only start working on 13 August).

If your course starts in October 2027 or beyond, please see the page for deferred entry offer holders

If you are holding an unconditional offer which you were given before January 2026 AND you do not start your course until Oct 2027 or 2028, we hope you're doing well but you will not normally receive any email from us this week, as none of it is relevant to you. Please see the page for deferred entry offer holders and remember to inform us if your contact details change.

If you are holding a Visiting Student offer

For those who have accepted a place, we will start to send you the same information about e.g. accommodation as our other entrants from next week.

Please see the visiting student post-offer page for other info.

If you have another query

We are mostly unable to answer queries about other matters this week (not only because of limited time, there are strict restrictions on communication with offer holders during the period immediately before Thursday 13 August). Our apologies for keeping you waiting but we will be in touch as soon as possible next week. Thank you for your patience!
