This page answers any current questions from offer holders. It is part of the Christ's College offer-holders section.
Please get used to checking here before you write to us with a question - it may well be that someone else has asked the same thing! And if you do need to email us, please remember to start with the details we need (below) so that we can answer efficiently.
- your name
- your subject (including 'Biological' or 'Physical' if Natural Sciences)
- your UCAS number
- 'Offer holder for e.g. 2026 entry'
What if I missed a 13 Feb deadline or receive the information needed after the deadline?
We have a 'no fuss' approach to missed deadlines. If you can see the table below for what to do and then do it quickly, correctly (i.e. follow the instructions on the relevant offer holders page precisely) and without fuss, we will do our best to process it efficiently for you. What we don't have capacity to do is answer emails about late forms and documents. Thank you for your understanding.
| What deadline is missed? | What to do |
|---|---|
| Catch-up documents for students who applied to a different College | Please send these now, following the instructions, and we will still accept them - please do not email us about sending them late. |
| Passport copy | Please upload it now and we will still accept it. We will also continue to accept passports through the year if you are renewing your passport (if you need a visa you are advised to upload your renewed passport no later than May) |
| Certificates for exam results you already had at the time of application | Please upload them now and we will still accept them - please do not email us about it. |
| Care leavers | Please follow the instructions now |
| English Language results | We should now have your documents for English language results you already had when you applied, however please upload new results as you receive them through the year. Remember you must upload your results for every test sitting, even if you do not achieve the scores required and plan to take the test again. |
| Cambridge Trusts application | Please email us as a matter of urgency if you missed this deadline. |
| Rowan Williams Studentship | You can send the application after 13 February as long as it is submitted by 27 February. |
| Visa info and form | Please complete the visa questions form now and do not email us about it. Note that in some cases there may be processing delays if you are late with visa information. |
| Fee status questionnaire | Please email us if you decide you would like your fee status reviewed but it is after 13 February. |
| Offer Holder Visit Day | It is now too late - we have closed booking for this event. |
| Address correction | We have closed the form. Please email us if there is any change to your postal address from now. |
| Christ's International Awards application | We've closed the upload tool as the deadline has passed |
I have a question about accommodation
Please see the offer holders accommodation page.
Can you use my preferred first name?
Not yet (we're sorry!). We'll call you by your formal first name (as given in your UCAS application, which should be the same as what's on your passport) and ask you to use this in all forms, upload tools and emails. It's not that we're unfriendly, but doing things this way really helps us to avoid confusion and errors. Once your place is confirmed, we will then switch to using your preferred first name.
> One exception! If anyone has a preferred first name that's a different gender than their formal first name, we're of course happy to change this now - please send us a quick email to let us know. In a small number of cases, we already made the switch during the application process. Once we confirm we've made the swap, you'll then be able to use your preferred name on all forms and documents whilst you're an offer holder.
> Students from e.g. Singapore, Hong Kong! Have we chopped your formal first name up? Due to the way that info comes through on the UCAS application, it's entirely possible that we've been writing to you with only half of your first name if there are two parts to it. If we've done this, sorry, and please let us know so that we can correct it to what it should be. Many thanks! NB in the UK we don't use middle names for much, so if you have a middle name, don't worry if it's not showing on e.g. your offer letter. The only important point for this is the CAS for your visa and we will include all your names on that.
Note for offer holders in Singapore who are about to receive (new) Singapore A level results - when you get your results, please email them to admissions@christs.cam.ac.uk. See receiving exam results. These are different to any exams that were listed as already completed in your UCAS application and that you upload certificates for as part of the 13 Feb deadlines - your 2026 Singapore A level results are new results that we need to process differently. Many thanks! And fingers crossed!
Can I apply for both the Cambridge Commonwealth, European and International Trust Awards AND the Christ's College International Awards?
Yes. If you have financial need, we encourage you to apply for both. It is possible to be awarded both a Cambridge Commonwealth, European and International Trust Award and a Christ's College International Award.
I am uploading my English Language Qualification score report. Do I need to also get an original sent to you at Christ's?
No - please only upload the score report. Please don't try to send us an original (you only need to do the things we've asked you to do).
My offer does not have any additional English language requirements. Do I still need to upload English Language qualification score reports?
Yes, if you have taken any English Language qualifications, you need to upload the score reports whether or not your offer requires it.
