Crest on Master's LodgeWe welcome applications from students in the Scottish SQA qualification system who would like to apply for Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology at Christ's. We define our offers individually, but the minimum offer for this course is A1, A1, A2 in three relevant Advanced Highers:

  • Advanced Higher Mathematics is a required subject
  • Advanced Higher Chemistry is a required subject
  • One further subject out of Advanced Higher Physics, Advanced Higher Mathematics of Mechanics, or Advanced Higher Biology is also required.

All applicants for Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology must also take the ESAT (Engineering and Sciences Admissions Test), which requires early registration.

At Christ's we also offer Considering Cambridge in October of S5 (online or in person), our February Open Day in February of S5 (online or in person) and an online subject meeting for Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology in May/June. Other events with Chemical Engineering content include the University open day online or in person in July of S5, and look out for any Chemical Engineering Masterclasses as well.
