Darwin Society logoThe Darwin Society holds talks on different aspects of science throughout the academic year.

The idea is to bring all scientists in Christ's together, hear leading scientists speak, and give scientists of all academic levels (undergraduates, graduates and Fellows) a chance to mingle and get to know each other better.

As well as the talks, there is a dinner in the College hall in Lent term, and the end-of-year garden party (photos below). The Society also organises formal dinner swaps with science societies at other colleges - it's fun to be invited as a group to formal hall at another College, and to host students at dinners in Christ's.

Anybody with an interest in science is welcome to join the activities (it's not restricted to Natural Sciences students).

See the Darwin Society website.
