The examination board OCR offers a Bursary Scheme for students from the West Midlands studying at the University of Cambridge. Ten bursaries, each worth £3,000 per year, are available to new undergraduate students.
You are eligible to apply for a bursary if you meet the following criteria:
- You have completed, or are completing, an OCR qualification at a school, sixth form college or FE college within a West Midlands local authority area (these are Birmingham, Coventry, Dudley, Hereford, Sandwell, Shropshire, Solihull, Staffordshire, Walsall, Warwickshire, Wolverhampton, and Worcestershire).
- You are eligible for Home (UK) fee status.
- You have been offered a place on an undergraduate degree course at the University of Cambridge.
- You have not been awarded funding or sponsorship from any other organisation or scheme (except your student loan and the Cambridge Bursary Scheme).
Further details can be found on the OCR website.
The deadline to apply is normally early May - check the OCR website for the exact date once the information for this year is published.
