It is with sadness that the College has learnt of the death of Professor Sir Peter Hirsch FRS, Honorary Fellow at Christ's since 1978.
Sir Peter was a pioneering materials scientist whose research led to many awards and prizes, including the Royal Society’s Hughes Medal in 1973 and Royal Medal in 1977. An obituary will follow in the College Magazine.
