Dark Water, Burning World: Lesbos and Syria

Christ's lector in art, Issam Kourbaj, will be reflecting on his work in response to the Syrian crisis and his upcoming installation at the Fitzwilliam Museum: Dark Water, Burning World.

Christ's former poet in residence, Ruth Padel, will read a new poem Wave: influenced by her meetings on the island of Lesbos, both with the inhabitants and with some of the thousands of Syrians who have fled there.
