Treasures of the Old Library: Evolving Library Collections

Taking place in Christ's College Old Combination Room (OCR)

At the event we will hear from the College's Librarian and Archivist as they discuss the renovations to the Old Library and the steps taken to protect its special collections in the process. The event will culminate in a tour of the Old Library. Please note the room in which this event is being held does not have wheelchair access.

Alumni are also warmly invited to follow this event by dining at Formal Hall that evening - for which bookings can be made by contacting alumni@christs.cam.ac.uk — please note any dietary requirements when booking.

Catherine will discuss the changes that have taken place in the Old Library following its renovations, and will touch upon the work that goes into moving a library collection.

Dr Lucy Hughes, Christ's College Archivist

Lucy will present on the recent digitisation of the College's Treasury Statutes, and the importance of digitising unique historic documents.

The event will culminate in a tour of the Old Library and an opportunity for further questions.
