The Davidson Nicol Society is one of the newest Christ's student-run societies, inaugurated in 2016-17.  The Society is named in honour of of the College's distinguished alumnus, Dr Davidson Nicol (former student and Fellow) and enables the Society to recognise the talents and achievements of this remarkable scientist, diplomat and scholar.  Dr Davidson Nicol was the first Black African student to receive a First Class Honors degree from Cambridge, and the first Black African to be elected to a College Fellowship at Cambridge or Oxford.
