Dr Wang completed his PhD in the field of turbomachinery performing experimental testing of transonic compressors for aircraft engines. He is a technical engineer in the Department of Engineering working on designing and constructing the next-generation wind tunnel facility, the National Centre for Propulsion and Power. He has an interest in rotating machinery design, systems integration, control and safety engineering.
At Christ's, he supervises 1st and 2nd year Materials course of the Engineering Tripos.
