Poster about not needing to buy equipmentA stylus & graphics tablet is not needed for any interview at Christ's. If you have one and want to use it that's fine (if appropriate - it may not be in quite a lot of cases) but it's not something you should worry about if you don't have one. We encourage all students to read the information we have included in the invitation to interview email.

If you have access to a graphics tablet with stylus (either your own, or borrowed or through school) then there may be times when you can use this in your interview as long as you have set it up in advance. If you have not worked with the technology before, do be aware that you will need to leave yourself time to set it up and familiarise yourself with it before the interview. There are normally set up instructions on the relevant website, though weigh up the pros and cons, as we would advise you against using any technology that you are not familar and comfortable with at the time of the interview. Do also bear in mind that we do not provide support for tablet and stylus use, so you would need to be confident enough to use it.

We do not expect you to buy equipment for your interview and are happy for you to use a mouse if your interviewers ask you to write in your interviews. Do also be aware that we can't guarantee the content of interviews in any subject - it may be that your interviewer has designed exercises for pen and paper and that there is no opportunity to use a tablet and stylus. You should follow your interviewers' direction about what they want you to use in all parts of your interviews - they will give you clear instructions if they want you to do things in a particular way.

If you would prefer to have a graphics tablet available in case useful and are looking for one, the one we would point you to is called the Wacom One. It is available on Amazon or directly from the maker and connects via USB. We emphasise, however that there may be no opportunity to use it, so please don't be disappointed if this is the case.
