The concert is a collaboration between the Lady Margaret Society and the Christ's College Music Society and gathers together outstanding performers from all over Cambridge. The concert will have varied music composed by women, from 15th century convent composers to modern day folk, highlighting the important position women have played in the creation and performance of music and the importance of continuing to raise their profile. The evening will also feature introductions to some of the best known female composers, as well as discussions of why they may have been under-performed.
Entrance is free and there will be refreshments after the concert.
