I am delighted to invite you to an Economics dinner in College on Saturday, 30th April 2022.  This is a wonderful opportunity for alumni who studied Economics to return to College to meet each other, and current Economics students and Fellows.

This will be a chance for some of you to catch up with your former Director of Studies, be it Dr William Peterson who led Economics at Christ’s for several decades, or Dr Julia Shvets, who’s been in the role more recently, and to meet our new post-doctoral fellow in Economics Mr Alex Savu.

I thought you might like to know that Christ’s Economics has been thriving and our students are consistently performing at the top of the University’s league tables in the subject.  I know this won’t come as a surprise to you, but it seems a good excuse for a special dinner.

For those of you who might be interested, before the dinner, at 5:30pm, we are planning to hold a seminar where several of our fellows and students will talk about their research.  No separate booking is required for this.

Pre-dinner drinks will be served in the Old Combination Room from 7pm followed by a four-course dinner at 7.45pm in Hall. The cost for dinner with wine will be £60.00per person. The dress code for this event is black-tie/lounge suit or evening dress.

If you would like to attend the dinner you can either book online by clicking here or by contacting the Development office (email: alumni@christs.cam.ac.uk tel: 01223 766710). It would be very helpful if you could RSVP as soon as possible, and no later than Friday 15th April 2022.

As this event falls within Full Term, we are unfortunately unable to offer accommodation in College. Information about accommodation options in Cambridge can be accessed here: www.visitcambridge.org/accommodation.
