Dr Il-Kweon Sir

Il-Kweon is a Leverhulme Trust and Isaac Newton Trust Early Career Fellow at the Faculty of Classics and Bye-Fellow at Christ’s. His research at present is focused on Greek and Latin lyric poetry and metres, but is interested in and teaches most aspects of Greek and Latin language and literature. His current project aims to provide a literary history of Greek and Latin lyric metres; he is also working on publishing his doctoral thesis ‘Lesbos’ Other Lyricist: Studies in Alcaeus’. He received his DPhil from the University of Oxford in 2020.
