The College invites applications for a non-stipendiary post as a Junior Research Fellow for research in Physical Sciences; Technology; Arts; Humanities; or Social Sciences, open to those who have, or expect to have, secured post-doctoral funding support at Cambridge University. The Fellowship will be tenable for at least two years, but no more than four year, from no later than 1 October 2024.

Applications are invited from candidates who hold a first degree, or a higher degree or are studying for a higher degree. Candidates are advised that a Research Fellowship such as this is intended for a researcher early in their career and will offer an opportunity to carry out novel research in a stimulating academic environment.

A successful applicant is expected to be either a graduate student in the latter stages of research leading to a PhD (or equivalent), or a post-doctoral researcher who has been awarded their PhD Degree after 1 January 2022.

Letters of application, together with the completed form, should be sent to hrmanager@christs.cam.ac.uk to arrive no later than 12 noon on Wednesday 29 November 2023, including a curriculum vitae with details of qualifications, publications and experience, together with a research statement and the names and addresses of two persons who have agreed to act as academic referees. Candidates must arrange for their referees to send their references direct to jobs@christs.cam.ac.ul so that references are received by the closing date of 12 noon on Wednesday 29 November 2023. (It may not be necessary for referees to write a new reference; submitting a copy of a reference already sent in connection with the applicant's post-doctoral appointment will often suffice.)

Shortlisted candidates may be invited to interview, expected to be held during the week commencing 9 January 2024.
