The College invites applications for a Non-Stipendiary Junior Research Fellowship in Biological & Medical Sciences; Arts; Humanities; or Social Sciences.

Open to those who have, or expect to have, secured post-doctoral funding support at Cambridge University.  The Fellowship will be tenable for at least two years, but not more than four years, from no later than 1st October 2023.

Candidates are advised that a Research Fellowship such as this is intended for a researcher early in their career and will offer an opportunity to carry out novel research in a stimulating academic environment.  A successful applicant is expected to be either a graduate student in the latter stages of research leading to a PhD Degree (or equivalent) or a post-doctoral researcher who has been awarded their PhD Degree after 1st January 2021.

Letters of application, together with the completed form, should be sent to masters-assistant@christs.cam.ac.uk to arrive no later than 12:00 noon on Wednesday 30th November 2022, including a curriculum vitae with details of qualifications, publications and experience together with a research statement and the names and addresses of two persons who have agreed to act as academic referees.  Candidates must arrange for their referees to send their references direct to masters-assistant@christs.cam.ac.uk so that references are received by the closing date of 12:00 noon on Wednesday 30th November 2022.  (It may not be necessary for referees to write a new reference: submitting a copy of a reference already sent in a connection with the applicant’s post-doctoral appointment will often suffice).  Shortlisted candidates may be invited for interview, expected to be on or around Wednesday 11th January 2023.
