Christ’s College is seeking applications from suitably qualified candidates for the vacancy of permanent, full time Admissions and Outreach Assistant. Responsible to the Director of Admissions, and working as part of a team of four, the principal remit of this post is to assist with the co-ordination of the Admissions Round and the day-to-day administration of undergraduate admissions for the College. The post-holder will also make an effective contribution to the outreach and recruitment activities of the department, including open days.
The successful candidate will be someone educated to degree level or equivalent with previous experience of being involved in some capacity in educational outreach and/or administration; experience and/or knowledge of the Cambridge Admissions process are desirable but not essential. Excellent administrative, planning and organisational skills are critical, as are good IT skills (and a willingness to improve them), a keen attention to detail and an ability to prioritise and multi-task effectively. You will also need strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a degree of flexibility, particularly at peak periods of the Admissions Round.
