Four evenings with Professor Sarah Coakley

The leading theologian and philosopher of religion, the Revd Professor Sarah Coakley (who holds the Norris-Hulse Chair in Divinity in the University of Cambridge) will lead four focussed meditations on Christian prayer.

 

In the context of  4 simple evening Eucharists in Christ's College Chapel in preparation for Lent, the leading theologian and philosopher of religion, Sarah Coakley will each week offer a short homily on Christian prayer- its difficulties and depths. The celebration of the Eucharist will include specially chosen music and a short period of silent prayer for meditation. The services will each take just under an hour and all are very welcome. Members of the public and of the University.

Thursday February  17th at 6.30pm: 'Teach us to Pray - Our Father' 

Thursday February 24th at 6.30pm: 'Thy Kingdom Come, Thy Will be Done'

Thursday March 3 at 6.30pm:  'Give Us This Day Our Daily Bread'

Ash Wednesday, March 9 at 6.30pm: 'Forgive us our Sins ... Lead us not into Temptation'.
