The US internet security firm, Vasco Data Security International, aims to roll Cronto's products out to the mass consumer market following a deal to acquire the Cambridge University spinout Cronto co-founded in 2005 by Fellow and Director of Studies in Engineering, Dr Elena Punskaya.

Dr Elena Punskaya, Cronto’s CTO, added: “The combination of the experience and R&D capacity will allow Cronto and Vasco to continue to identify new opportunities and implement the market vision, taking advantage of Cronto’s position in Cambridge, UK – an undisputed centre in the global innovation landscape.”
