There is always pressure on seating availability in Easter term while people prepare for exams. This term we are instituting a system whereby you can leave your desk for up to 90 minutes without having your stuff cleared away to make room for someone else. Please complete one of our "I need a break!" forms (see image below) when you leave your desk, noting your name, the date and time on the form. Thank you for helping to keep the library's Reading Room a great place to study in Easter term. And please -- don't forget to take a break from time to time, it makes good sense and is better for your health.
Easter vacation loans
Library books issued on/after 15 March and before 14 April will be due back on 28 April. Don't get caught out -- check your library loans now, and renew them yourself (using iDiscover.cam.ac.uk) if you can. If you can't, come and see us in the library office, or contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Items issued on or after 14 April will have our usual term-time two-week loan period.
Update on Library system migration
The library will migrate from our current system (Voyager) to a new one (Alma) in a few months. This work, originally planned for summer 2017, has now been rescheduled to January 2018. While the migration is taking place it is likely that library circulation and other systems will be affected. We will be posting more specific information about the system migration as and when we have it.
