Clare Burnett (m.1983) led a classics/medics workshop on 'ways of seeing the body' in the Visual Arts Centre during the evening of Friday 5 November.  The workshop was arranged and supported by the Visual Arts Steering Group and the Levy Plumb Fund Managers.

Its aim was to use visual art to explore and discuss different ways of seeing and how different materials, tools and ways of thinking can change perception and understanding.

Participants used a mix of looking, drawing, clay modelling and talking; in groups, pairs and individually, to explore 'the body' classical, medical, emotional and imaginary.
