A Christ's undergraduate team consisting of one second-year student and three first years made it through to the televised round of the BBC's University Challenge. The team included Will Critchlow (m. 2008), Abarna Ramanathan (m. 2008), Jon Anderson (m. 2008), Matt Doggett (Reserve, m. 2007) and was captained by Charles Blackham (m. 2007).
 
The tension was palpable in a contest that was closely fought to the end with the lead changing hands more than once. Warwick won by the slim margin of 30 points with 200 to Christ's 170.

The team may qualify for the next round by being one of the highest scoring losing teams, and are the youngest team in the tournament, with an average age of 18 years and 6 months.
