On 31 May, members of the Boat Club gathered at the Boathouse to watch Dr Yusuf Hamied and Dr Sandy Todd name the new Men's VIII 'Todd of Trumpington'. Lord Todd was President of the Boat Club and it gave his son great pleasure to see the boat named after him. Speeches were made by Professor Nick Gay, current President of the Club, and Ms Rose McNeil, Men's Captain, while Mr Robin Kerr spoke about the plans for the redevelopment of the Boathouse.
