Nobel Prizewinner's Links with Christ's
Fellow of Churchill College and Emeritus Professor in Human Reproduction, Bob Edwards received his prize for his work on In-Vitro Fertilization.
Bob was recruited to Cambridge in 1963 by Sir Alan Parkes (m.1921; Fellow 1961-1969; Hon Fellow 1970), and Bob's first graduate student was Professor Martin Johnson (m.1963; Fellow 1969-; Vice/Master/President 2007-2010). Professor Johnson has been widely quoted in the media following the award to Professor Edwards.
