The ninth and most recent drama of Honorary Member of the College, Carl Djerassi, is a play of academic manners and “fashion in science”. It deals with the science of “bubbleology” as applied to champagne and beer bubbles. Can an assistant professor obtain tenure working on such a specialised topic? 

A public reading of Insufficiency will take place in the Wolfson Lecture Theatre at the Department of Chemistry on 8 May.
