Thirty teenage students from local schools visited Cambridge on Saturday 6th December to learn about Charles Darwin and evolution at an event organised by a team of Christ's students led by zoology graduate Stephen Montgomery. They spent the morning in the Zoology Department museum, seeing exhibits such as the birds of paradise, Darwin's finches and the giant sloth that provide evidence to support the theory of evolution. After guest appearances by Christ's Fellows, the group moved to College to learn about Darwin's life and spend time in the room where he lived as an undergraduate.
The same team of Christ's students are busy with the College's Darwin web site, due for launch in February.
