A non-stipendiary Junior Research Fellowship is open to candidates whose research is in any subject.  It is open to those who have, or expect to have, secured postdoctoral research funding support at Cambridge University.  The closing date for applications and receipt of two references is noon on Thursday 10 January 2013.  For further details click here.

A non-stipendiary Sackler Research Fellowship is open to post-doctoral researchers working in Chemistry or Applied Mathematics (interpreted to include Theoretical Physics and Statistics) in the University of Cambridge, who do not already hold a Fellowship or have a close association at another college.  The closing date for applications and receipt of two references is noon on Thursday 10 January 2013.  For further details click here.

A successful applicant for the first fellowship is expected to be either a graduate student, in the latter stages of research leading to a PhD Degree (or equivalent), or a post-doctoral researcher who has been awarded their PhD Degree after 1 January 2011, and privileges include use of a study room or, where appropriate, single accommodation in College.   Applicants for the second fellowship may be at a later stage of their research career, and accommodation would not normally be available. 

A candidate who is eligible for both competitions (and thus satisfies both a subject restriction and a date of PhD restriction) may in their letter of application indicate that they wish to enter both competitions.
