Security
Please be aware that there are websites that offer a security (sometimes called a vulnerability) scan of your computer. The security monitoring systems run by the university cannot however distinguish these tests from a real attack on your machine. If you wish to run such a test please contact cert@cam.ac.uk first detailing approximate time and source/destination IP addresses so that they do not waste resources chasing it up.
It is also important to note that outgoing port scans are contrary to the AUP
