1. Readers are asked to co-operate in maintaining a quiet working atmosphere.

2. Food and drink are not permitted in the Library, except for bottled water.

3. Desks should not be "reserved" for long periods of time by storing belongings on them. Lockers are provided in the locker room below the library for the storage of personal belongings.

4. Readers are responsible for all items borrowed in their name. If items are lost or damaged, the borrower will be liable for the cost of replacement plus an administrative fee.

5. Mobile phones must be switched off or to silent mode before entering the library.

6. Recalled books must be returned promptly.

7. Members of the College may not bring visitors into the Library unless permission has been given by a member of the Library staff.

8. Personal computers are allowed in the Library but all personal electronic equipment must be tested by the College electrician prior to use.

9. Readers should familiarise themselves with the fire regulations, fire exits etc. Any queries should be addressed to members of staff, who will be happy to explain procedures.
