Our exhibition, which ran throughout 2008, was based on the College's extraordinary collection of Milton materials, including many first editions, the manuscript record of his admission into College in 1625, illustrated editions of his works from the 17th to the 20th century, and the original copper plates used to print the frontispiece portraits of Milton in the original editions. Curated by Christ's College doctoral student Sarah Howe, the exhibition included entertaining and informative panels plus explanatory text with each item, giving a rounded view of Milton 's life and work, and of his enduring influence.
