Library Talks

The MCR Bodley Library Talks series aim to showcase resources in the Old Library and to encourage graduates to utilise them in their research.

Along with 39 books donated by Lady Margaret Beaufort herself, the Bodley contains approximately 25,000 early printed books and manuscripts, valuable first editions, incunabula  and medieval manuscripts. In addition to literary and historical tomes, there are early works on the foundations of physics and mathematics, and unusual items including Tudor playing cards and fragments of sixteenth-century wallpaper.

Inaugurated in Easter Term 2011, the series convenes termly.
