Computers in the Library

OPAC Terminals

The OPAC terminals are used only for self issue of books to be taken out of the Library and, enquiries on the Library book catalogue. If you are unsure on how to use these terminals please ask a member of the Library staff.

Newton PC

There is one PC in the Reading Room that is configured as a client for the University Library online catalogue system called Newton. This is the main online catalogue for the libraries of the University, including Cambridge University Library, its dependent libraries, most faculty, departmental and college libraries

PWF PC's

There are two PC's in the Lobby area of the Library, and one next to the Newton terminal within the reading room. These PC's form part of the PWF Managed Cluster and operate in an identical fashion to those in 4/10, 4/13.

There are 8 network ports in the Reading Room (l/h side) that are freely available. Please note; these ports are configured so that only registered student computers can use them.
