Pre-1900 books and manuscripts
To date, only a small proportion of the books in the Old Library have been catalogued online.
Work is ongoing, and the growing number of books listed can be searched via the union catalogue Library Search.
A spiral-bound catalogue listing our complete holdings can be found in the Reference Collection in the Reading Room. This can be consulted by visiting the library. Alternatively, library staff will be happy to check the catalogue on your behalf. Please email library@christs.cam.ac.uk or phone 01223 334905.
Archival collections
It is the College's policy to collect and preserve material concerned with all aspects of its history.
A Word document describing the Library's holdings of post-medieval manuscripts and personal papers at collection level can be downloaded here.
In addition, work has begun to enter the Library's archival collections onto Janus, the catalogue of archival collections for the University of Cambridge.
Additional catalogues and finding aids
The substantial collections at Christ's have been listed in a number of published catalogues. Details of these will be added to this section shortly. In the meantime, if you have an enquiry relating to the Library's catalogues, please email library@christs.cam.ac.uk.
