Awards for Postgraduate Students

 

The Levy-Plumb Fund for the Humanities in Christ’s College (for Undergraduates and Postgraduates)

The Levy-Plumb Fund exists to foster the Humanities in Christ’s College, including but extending beyond academic study of the Humanities.  Awards are made to undergraduate and resident graduate members of the College and are not restricted to students in the Humanities.  Listed below are the various types of awards the Fund Managers expect to make.  They welcome applications from current members of Christ's College under any of these headings:

  • Creative Arts Awards (visual arts, writing, composition, performing arts:  e.g. costs of materials, lessons, courses, other projects)

  • Awards for research expenses, including travel where necessary (a preference may be given to applicants in areas not covered by other College Funds)

  • Long Vacation Study Grants (for first and second year students in the undertaking dissertation research or coursework reading in Cambridge in the Long Vacation)

  • Study Awards (e.g. language courses)

  • Contributions to funding for postgraduate study in Cambridge
